Product Description

The RICON S VS connector is a pre-engineered post-to-beam connector, a system manufactured from mild steel with a welded collar bolt.  It consists of two identical parts, one installed in the primary timber member and the other in the secondary member.  It has been tested for the North American mass timber market.

Code-approved reliability, they are installed with the ASSY VG CSK screws which have been awarded an ICC-ESR approval in the United States and the Canadian Construction Materials Centre Reports (CCMC) approval in Canada.

Simple installation is possible with structural screws perpendicular to the plate. With its short neck, only 35mm (1 1/2″) long, the drop-in assembly is easier than similar connectors.  RICON connectors can be installed fully concealed or visible. Suitable for timber framing, log home building, mass and heavy timber construction.
