Beam Hangers Design Guide

The beam hanger is a system solution that allows the hardware to be pre-installed in a controlled shop environment before product delivery. The connection system is pre-installed, a true ready-to-assemble and a high-quality structural package is delivered to the site, yielding time and money savings for our clients.

Advances in mass timber fabrication technology and the use of virtual modelling software have changed the way we build modern mass timber structures. Gravity structure, roof, floor, and wall elements arrive on site machined and ready to assemble. Assembly typically requires connections between the pre-fabricated elements which are typically site installed.

In the event of conflicting information between the ESR-4300 report and MTC Solutions’ Beam Hanger Design Guide, the ESR-4300 report governs. We are aware of the existing discrepancies between both documents and our teams are currently working on a revised version of the design guide to clear them.
