Roof-to-Wall Connections (Truss Uplift)

Continuous load path must be provided in all structures. In particular roof truss to top plate connections often challenge the installer as the required hurricane tie install is labor intensive and work must be performed in tight spaces. A simple method of connecting trusses or rafters to the wall top plate or studs to the sill plate is offered by small diameter fully threaded structural wood screws. The full thread wood screws provide continuous embedded threads in each connection member and yield sufficient capacity for many applications. The screw is easily installed with common battery powered tools without pre-drilling. The ASSY VG CYL screws conform to the national building code of Canada 2010 and were designed in accordance with the issued code approval CCMC 13677-R.
