The International Code Council (ICC) has awarded the RICON S VS pre engineered beam hanger system with the evaluation service report ICC-ESR 4300 for Mass Timber Applications in January 2023. The ICC-ESR 4300 report outlines boundary conditions for the use of RICON S VS in typical Mass Timber Post and Beam and purlin to girder connections.
In the event of conflicting information between the ESR-4300 report and MTC Solutions’ Beam Hanger Design Guide, the ESR-4300 report governs. We are aware of the existing discrepancies between both documents and our teams are currently working on a revised version of the design guide.
