The very first Canadian code approval was issued for the SWG ASSY partially threaded and fully threaded self tapping wood screws in early 2014 under the Canadian Construction Material Centre (CCMC). The report permits the use of the SWG ASSY screw as a structural connector in wood to wood and wood to steel connections. In addition the full thread screws may also be used to reinforce wood elements in their weaknesses.
