The project’s striking use of mass timber showcases the potential of this sustainable material in large-scale construction. The structure incorporates MTC Solutions’ ASSY fasteners and mass timber straps (such as the MTS-i 40) to ensure strength and resilience, while its mass timber components bring warmth and natural aesthetics to the interior spaces. The building goes beyond visual appeal, exceeding BC Energy Step Code requirements through features like triple-glazed windows, central heat recovery ventilation, and a highly efficient central boiler system.
