What hardware and tools do I need to install a RICON S VS?

Each RICON S VS connector set includes two identical steel connector plates and a set of ASSY VG CSK screws. For precise installation, MTC recommends:

• A low-RPM, high-torque drill with a feathering trigger for enhanced speed control.
•  RW 40 bit for the 5/16 in. [8 mm] diameter STS, RW 50 bit for the 3/8 in. [10 mm] diameter STS, for optimal torque transmission.
• For the RICON XL, a 1/4 in. pre-drilling jig for accurately located pilot holes.

What screws are required to install a RICON S VS?

Each RICON model includes a specific set of ASSY VG CSK screws, defined by size and quantity. Substitutions are not permitted. Only use the screws listed in the installation table for safe and compliant connections.

• Shorter screws are to be installed in the primary members
• Longer screws are to be installed in the secondary members

Note: The RICON XL includes 30-degrees inclined screws. Refer to the guide for details.
